Artists like Je'kob have slipped below the radar all too often. It is an art to effortlessly create a lyrically sound record that has mass market appeal, addresses real life issues, and is interwoven with the word of God. His latest album "Pocketless Souls II" (PSII) exemplifies that type of art. Je'kob's latest album is Infused with message music authentically written for any open ear.
The album is a follow-up to "Pocketless Souls" Part I ---released last year. Every song on this album is garnished with a calm melodic flare that almost forces you to think & listen. Songs like "The light" & "The edge of the world", provoke you to think about what it means to live for God in your sincerest form. Je'kob fearlessly shares his testimony without hesitation on the track "Long Live the Prince". Each track has a laid back intrinsic approach.
Throughout the album the artist also expresses his disdain for the way some Christian Record labels are presented. He remains true to the eccentric pop rap experience he provides. I think his sing-songy poet rap experience is what make this artist distinctly different. Je'kob is certainly one to watch. I would recommend this album for instant insert into your iTunes collection.
