I didn't want to be an inspiration. I never wanted people to look up to me or come to me when they entered into a trial. I just shared my story and it just happened.
I was now standing still. After the storm is over and the rain stops, you catch your breathe and just look out into the sea of your life. I realized so many people had been through the same storm and that God was carrying me in those times. I don't know how I gained the strength to stand alone.
“I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.” Philippians 4:11 NIV
This scripture comes from a place of endurance. When you've been through the fire, you have a different out look on life. Things don't bother you any more. You learn to trust God. Standing still is the best posture to have after a storm. You reflect and give thanks for coming out, and then prepare to walk forward.
Today declare: I am going to stand still! I will be content. I will know all things work together for my God. I know that the trial was necessary for my next level of growth! I will make it through this. Not only will I survive, I will be content while doing it!

The last year has been extremely hard. I transitioned from being a wife to a single mom. The divorce left me wondering how I would take care of two children on my own. I depended on my ex-husband so much and now I was about to do it alone again. The thought overwhelmed me! I would cry thinking about how I would provide for the boys. The bills outweighed my money and I just didn't see how I would get through it.
"The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, He will show you a way out so that you can endure.”

What do you do when God says no to what you thought was your promise? How do you handle the rejection of people walking away? The enemy wants you to think that everything is over when you don't pass the test, get the promotion, or a loved one walks away. LIES! Rejection can be God's redirection.
When the children of ISRAEL where about to get out of bondage, it states in Exodus 9:12 "But the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh, making it strong and obstinate, and he did not listen to them or heed them, just as the Lord had told Moses.” God made Pharaoh say no to letting the children of Israel go. Why? It wasn't the time of release. We pray asking God to give us people and things that might kill us or take our focus off of Him. God allows things to fall apart and people to leave to show His power in our life. Somethings are self inflicted (you caused them through disobedience and decisions), some are demonic attacks, and some are God putting you back in position. It's important to learn to ask God what is the case when you are met with rejection.
Psalm 34:17-18 AM says, "When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their distress and troubles. The Lord is close to those who are of a broken heart and saves such as are crushed with sorrow for sin and are humbly and thoroughly penitent.” The devil loves to play on our minds when we are rejected! The above scripture is your promise in God. The lord will deliver you from your rejection, but it's IN HIS TIMING! You are not alone. The Lord is there because of your broken heart. He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those with crushed spirits. That's His word and it can't come back void. I learned this about being broken while being rejected. It is the ideal placed to be used.
In order to get a substance out of a container, the container has to either be broken, flipped upside down, or twisted. It's the same way with you. In order for your oil to flow, you have to be broken, flipped upside down, or twisted! Although you may have been rejected by man, you have been ordained by God from birth for greatness. Smile my friend because your best is yet to come.

I never knew who my biological father was, and it caused me to have an identity crisis. Throughout my life I found myself abused, in beds, and in cliques because I didn't know my worth. So, when I see half naked pictures of God's most precious creation, I can see the hand of the enemy. It's real easy to say "She should know better, she goes to church!" The bible states that people perish because of the lack of knowledge.
I was at church every time the doors opened and was taught the word. That didn't mean I knew my promise in Christ. The devil has BLESSED the Beyoncé's of the world to give an appearance that long hair, revealing clothing, and make up is the only way you can be successful. The Devil is a lie! 1 Peter 2:9 in the NLT states “But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.”
The reason a lot of our young women are easily persuaded is they don't know their identity. The enemy will try to keep them blind to who God has ordained them to be from birth. Once a young woman knows she is a queen, she will start acting as such, and trends that don't represent her Kingdom mentality will not phase her. So, my beautiful queen, know that God knew you in your mother’s womb. He ordained you to be a beautiful, unique, copy written original! You do not have to settle for conforming to this world! Your identity is now exposed and you have been pulled out of the darkness into God's light and love. The enemy wants to keep you in bondage, trying to keep up with trends and compromising your crown, but today we declare that you will return to being the light of the world. You set the standard and let them keep up.

"Today I wanted to leave this earth. Being completely selfish for once. Never thought I'd get to such a low point,” R&B singer Kehlani posted March 29, 2016 on Instagram. Have you ever thought about taking your life? Has life gotten so tough that suicide was an option? The enemy’s first stop on trying to steal your purpose is creeping into your mind. The enemy also wants you to think that you’re the only one who has even thought that way. That's a lie. A lot of people think about suicide.
As a Christian, we are taught to pray and “tell God all about your problems,” but what happens when you are praying and it doesn't seem to be helping? Suicide has been a thought of mine throughout my life. Yes, I admit that as a tongue talking, fire baptized, bible toting Christian I have battled with the thought of suicide. "If you take me tonight God I will be with you,” I whispered for a year straight. My life had become unbearable. I was serving God with everything I was, and going home depressed taking anxiety medication. Suicide is a real thought. It takes the lives of many loved ones.
I shared my thoughts to encourage you. It's normal to have down days. If you are having these thoughts don't be ashamed to talk about it or get professional help. I did and it really did help. God gives wisdom and part of that is seeking professional help when needed. 1 Peter 5:10 (Amp) states “and after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace [who imparts all blessing and favor], who has called you to His [own] eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will Himself complete and make you what you ought to be, establish and ground you securely, and strengthen, and settle you.” This scripture states that you will suffer or have bad days but don't allow the enemy to trick you. The suffering will only last a little while. Look again at the scripture, it states “little while” meaning it won't last forever. Do not make a permanent decision based on temporary circumstances. Take a look at the end of the scripture: God himself will complete and make you what you ought to be, establish and ground you securely, and strengthen, and settle you! After the trial, God promises that he will step in and hook you up! Don't abort the process because it hurts. Suicide does not have to be your fate, it's a thought fueled by emotion. In the words of Chris Brown, "emotions ain't loyal!" Today choose life and embrace your promise of 2 Peter 5:10. Know that your problem has an expiration date but you my friend can have an eternity with the King.
